The client

The Howley Law Firm P.C. is a New York employment and whistleblower practice founded in 2012. It represents individuals in matters including workplace discrimination, harassment, unpaid wages, retaliation, wrongful termination and whistleblower claims involving corporate fraud, waste and abuse.

The challenge

The firm had worked with Growth Friday before, but that engagement ended in June 2025. When the firm returned on October 5, 2025, organic traffic was declining. The brief called for a focused four-to-six-month effort to recover search momentum.

In the 30 days immediately before work resumed, September 5 through October 4, 2025, Google Search generated 130,078 impressions and 550 clicks. Average position was 27.2.

The renewed engagement

Growth Friday supported the firm from October 5, 2025 through February 4, 2026. The available engagement brief documents the recovery objective and timeframe, but does not include a task-by-task delivery log. We cannot responsibly assign the subsequent lift to individual tactics that are not recorded in that brief.

What changed

In the final 31 days, January 5 through February 4, 2026, the site recorded 192,325 impressions and 664 clicks from Google Search. Compared with the 30-day pre-engagement baseline, that is 62,247 more impressions, an increase of 48%, and 114 more clicks, an increase of 21%. Impression-weighted average position improved from 27.2 to 19.9, a gain of 7.3 positions.

These figures come from a client-provided Google Search Console Performance on Search export for Web search. They describe search visibility and clicks, not enquiries, retained cases or revenue. The comparison windows also differ by one day, so they should be read as period totals rather than normalized daily rates.

A relationship that continued

Founder John Howley had already described the earlier Growth Friday engagement in a published testimonial. He reported that first-page keyword coverage more than tripled and qualified-lead calls rose by more than 25% within a few months. Those are historical, client-reported results from the earlier engagement, separate from the 2025-26 Search Console comparison above.
